Amazon Launches Prime Service With Monthly Subscription; Offers Streaming Film And TV As Standalone Service

Online retailer Amazon launched a version of its Prime customer loyalty program with a monthly subscription fee. Instead of paying $100 per year, customers can opt to pay $10.99 per month instead. Customers choosing the monthly option will end up paying almost $33 more per year, but will have the choice of terminating subscription whenever they want. Also, Amazon will allow customers to pay just $8.99 per month to access the company’s streaming TV and film service.
